I have been toying with the concept of what it means to be a photographer. I was in the grocery store today when a fellow shopper stopped me, asking about my photography related sweatshirt. We chatted for a few minutes, and she told me she was looking for someone to take photos of her family in an outdoors setting. My mind went thinking of who I could give this referral too because this is not the type of photography I do. While I was lost in thought for a sec she broke my thinking with a quick followup, "oh, and I don't want to pay for it." What!!! Really? I told her good luck with that. Sad part is, she will find someone to do it, for free. Photography doesn't mean what it used to anymore. Anyone can be a photographer. So while playing with that play on words I made a decision, I'm not a photographer. Here is the video to explain more.
